Daniel Yant 
Daniel was born on March 28th, 1827 in Ohio.1 Daniel's father was Phillip Yant and his mother was Elizabeth Shroyer. His paternal grandparents were Phillip Yant and Mary Magdalena Rehrig; his maternal grandparents were Leonard Shroyer and Martha. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Eli, David, Sarah, Mary, Martha and Elizabeth. He was the oldest of the seven children. He had a half-brother named Joseph. He died at the age of 84 in 1911 in Nampa, Idaho.1 General Notes
