Caroline Williams 
Caroline was born on August 5th, 1817.1 Caroline's father was Nehemiah Williams and her mother was Hester Pickering. Her paternal grandparents were Josiah Williams and Dimeus Spencer; her maternal grandparents were Enos Ellis Pickering and Sally Conrad. She had eight brothers and three sisters, named Sinah, Elijah, Josiah, John Pickering, George W, Enos Ellis, Samuel, James M, Sarah Jane, Dimeus and Elizabeth. She was the oldest of the twelve children. She died at the age of 74 on June 16th, 1892. She was buried in Lacarre Cemetery, Lacarre, OH.1 1 General Notes

!Caroline was born 8/5/1817, died 6/16/1892, buried in Lacarre Cemetery, neare
Lacarre, Ohio. On 2/5/1856 she marred Cyrus Stacy Carpenter, who died in 1868.
At the age of 17 she became a member of the Baptist church and later of the
Methodist church. She had peculiar eyes known as "cross-eye" and her eyes were
constantly moving in their sockets. This affliction developed in her a shyness
which interfered with her enjoyment of society.
