Living's father was Charles Henry Wheeler and her mother was Grace Mae Baird.  Her maternal grandparents were William Allen Baird and Mary Colorado Hamilton. She had two brothers named Living and Living. She had a half-brother and three half-sisters, named John Henry, Bonnie Jean, Hazel Floella and Helen Pauline.
