Joseph was born in 1694 in CT.1 Joseph's father was George Way and his mother was Sarah Neast. His paternal grandparents were George Way and Elizabeth Smith; his maternal grandparents were Joseph Neast and Sarah Bodington. He had four brothers and three sisters, named George, John, Elliph, Thomas, Sarah, Elizabeth and Mehetabel.1 General Notes
