Benjamin was born in 1746.1   Benjamin's father was Samuel Watson and his mother was Margarette Gray.  His paternal grandparents were William Watson and Mary Orr. He had five brothers and a sister, named Samuel, John, Daniel, Matthew, Johnson and Elizabeth.  He was the youngest of the seven children.1
