Samuel Watson 
Samuel was born in 1698 in Ireland.1 Samuel's father was William Watson and his mother was Mary Orr. His maternal grandfather was James Orr. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Patrick, William, John, Oliver, Matthew, Sarah and Elizabeth. He died at the age of 78 on March 19th, 1776 in Leicester Worcester Massachusetts.1 1 General Notes

Manufacture of cloth was commenced here by Mr. Samuel Watson in 1814, about one and a half miles east of the Meeting House on the "Kettle Brook." His establishment was small however and the business soon after was unproductive. He was induced to part with it for a few years.
Donations for Leicester Academy were given by Captain William Watson and Samuel Watson.
