Martha Vestal 
Martha was born on February 15th, 1770 in Orange, NC.1 Martha's father was David Vestal and her mother was Sarah Chamness. Her paternal grandparents were William Vestal and Elizabeth; her maternal grandparents were Anthony Chamness and Sarah Cole. She had five brothers and seven sisters, named Daniel, Nathan, Joseph, Benjamin, David, Elizabeth, Sarah, Mary, Lydia, Ann, Ruth and Achsah. She was the sixth oldest of the thirteen children.1 General Notes
