Benjamin Vestal 
Benjamin was born on January 4th, 1777 in Chatham, NC.1 Benjamin's father was David Vestal and his mother was Sarah Chamness. His paternal grandparents were William Vestal and Elizabeth; his maternal grandparents were Anthony Chamness and Sarah Cole. He had four brothers and eight sisters, named Daniel, Nathan, Joseph, David, Elizabeth, Sarah, Mary, Martha, Lydia, Ann, Ruth and Achsah. He was the fifth youngest of the thirteen children.1 General Notes
