John Vanlaw 
John was born on December 2nd, 1787 in Mansfield Monthly Meeting, New Jersey.1 John's father was Joseph Vanlaw and his mother was Mary Craft. His paternal grandparents were Preston Vanlaw and Judah Unknown; his maternal grandparents were George Craft and Mary Unknown. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, Joseph, George, Samuel, Anne and Mary. He was the second oldest of the seven children.1 -
