Nicholas Jacobsz was born on May 5th, 1658 in Brooklyn, Kings, NY.1   Nicholas Jacobsz's father was Jacob Leendsten Vandergrift and his mother was Rebecca Lubbersten.  His maternal grandfather was Frederick Lubbersten. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Leonard (Leendert), Frederick, Johannes, Martjie, Anna and Christina.  He died about 1722 in Bolemis Manor, New Castle, DE.1
