1   Anna's father was Jacob Leendsten Vandergrift and her mother was Rebecca Lubbersten.  Her maternal grandfather was Frederick Lubbersten. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Nicholas Jacobsz, Leonard (Leendert), Frederick, Johannes, Martjie and Christina.1
