Catherine was born in 1861.1   Catherine's father was John Turner and her mother was Mary Nesbit.  Her paternal grandparents were John F. Turner and Hannah Idale. She had four brothers and eight sisters, named John, James, Frank, William, Eliza, Anna, Mary (Minnie), Jerusha, Margaret, Edith, Laura and Jessie.  She was the fifth oldest of the thirteen children.  She died at the age of 80 in 1941.1
