His paternal grandparents were Robert Treat and Honor Unknown; his maternal grandparents were Hugh Gaylord and Joan Unknown. He had two brothers and seven sisters, named Robert, James, Joanna, Susannah, Honor, Sarah, Elizabeth, Alice and Katharine. He died about 1693 in Wethersfield, CT.2 General Notes
