Richard Treat 
Richard was born on August 28th, 1584 in PITMINSTER, ENGLAND.1 Richard's father was Robert Treat and his mother was Honor Unknown. His paternal grandparents were Richard Treat and Joanna. He had a brother and five sisters, named John, Rebecca, Agnes, Mary, Alice and Tamsen. He died at the age of 85 in 1669 in Wethersfield, CT.2 General Notes

Richard Treat (1584-1669) came from Pitminster, Somersetshire, England to Watertown, Mass in 1635. He was at Wethersfield, Conn in 1637, was a deputy to the General Court from 1637 to 1644, a governor's assistant from 1657 to 1665, was a patentee of Conneticut under Royal Charter of Charles II in 1662, and a member of Gov. John Winthrop's Council from 1663 to 1666.
