Hugh was born in Pitminster, Somerset, England.1   Hugh's father was Nicholas Gaillard and his mother was Joan Unknown.  His paternal grandfather was Nicholas Gaillard. He had four brothers named John, Christopher, Edmond and William.  He died in 1614 in ENGLAND.2
