Wilhelm was born in 1865.1   Wilhelm's father was Louis Traub and his mother was Barbara. He had six brothers and five sisters, named Conrad, Louis, John, Charles, Philip, Carl, Josephine, Caroline, Barbara, Dora and Theresia.  He was the fifth youngest of the twelve children.1
