Frances M. was born about 1847.1 Frances M.'s father was Morris Townsend and her mother was Sarah Cheairs. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Roderick Townsend and Nancy Permelia Dean. She had two brothers named Thomas Ray and Isaac A.. She was the oldest of the three children. She had five half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Claudius D., Edward Frank B., John B., James Lee, Fredrick Jackson, Martha E., Nancy V. and Ida Mae.1 -
