Thomas Tate

¹ Thomas' father was Samuel Tate and his mother was Sarah Strayhorn. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Tate and Anne Unknown; his maternal grandparents were William Strayhorn and Mary Hunter. He had two brothers and six sisters, named Pinkney, William, Jane Louisa, Eliza Harriet, Charity, Mary, Sarah Anne and Ellen Jane.¹
