Martha Spencer

Martha was born on May 19th, 1657 in Hartford, Hartford, CT.¹ Martha's father was Thomas Spencer and her mother was Sarah Bearding. Her paternal grandparents were Gerrard Spencer and Alice Whitbread; her maternal grandfather was Nathaniel Bearding. She had two brothers and five sisters, named Gerrard, Jared, Sarah, Elizabeth, Hannah, Mary and Martha. She had three half-brothers named Obadiah, Thomas and Samuel.¹
