James Lester Smith

James Lester was born on April 1st, 1877.¹ James Lester's father was Council Smith and his mother was Sarah E. Moore. His maternal grandparents were John Lanier Moore and Sarah Jenkins. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Elisha L., Bird, Sam, Harvey E., Bertha Ellen and Lilly Esther. He was the oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 60 on December 14th, 1937.¹
