Soloman G. was born in 1851.1   Soloman G.'s father was Thomas Sills and his mother was Sara Jane Watson.  His paternal grandparents were McLin Sills and Cinthia Holliman. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Robert B., Benjamin T., Henry, Salina Margaret and Mary F.. He had a half-sister named Nancy.1
