Wilhelm Herman was born on May 23rd, 1882 in Belknap Twp, Presque Isle Co, Michigan.1 Wilhelm Herman's father was Wilhelm Friedrich Johann Schlaeger and his mother was Fredericke Wilhelmine Klee. His paternal grandparents were Johannes Schlaeger and Friederika Scharping. He had three brothers and two sisters, named August Johann Wilhelm, Johanne Wilhelm Hermann, Herman, Otilie Malvina Pauline and Wilhelmine Louise Otilie. He was the second youngest of the six children.1 -
