William was born on May 29th, 1904.1   William's father was William Walter Sasser and his mother was Magnolia Moore.  His paternal grandparents were William M. Sasser and Eugenia McBride; his maternal grandparents were Augustus M. Moore and Jerushia Lee. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Jesse, Rupert, Maggie May, Stella and Blanche.  He was the third oldest of the six children.  He died at the age of 55 on November 10th, 1959.  He was buried in Screven Co., GA.1 1
