John B. was born in January 1858 in Screven Co., GA.1 John B.'s father was Howell Sasser and his mother was Mary Ann Daughtry. His paternal grandparents were Howell Sasser and Susan A. Bell. He had three brothers and five sisters, named James H., Claudius, Howell O., Jane E., Cornelia Susan, Juanita, Ida G. and Mary E.. He was the oldest of the nine children.1 -
