Conway's father was John Rewis and his mother was Viney Boyett. His maternal grandparents were Thomas Boyett and Matilda Holland. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Mariel D., Burnese, Devoe, Roy, Marrie Belle, Lela, Amanda, Audian and Debbie.-
