James was born about 1743 in Northampton Co., NC.1 James' father was Edward Boyette and his mother was Abigail Unknown. His paternal grandfather was Edward Boyet. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Etheldred, Edward, William, Rachel and Ruth. He died on March 3rd, 1811 in Screven Co., GA.1 General Notes
