Burrell Demre was born on December 30th, 1882.1 Burrell Demre's father was Callaway Jackson Purcell and his mother was Sophronia Ann Florida Surrency. His maternal grandparents were Samuel D. Surrency and Elizabeth Kennedy. He had four brothers and five sisters, named William Bruce "Willie", Harvey Olan, Arlie Edward, Ira Jackson, Daisy, Iona Bessie Elizabeth, Pernilia Millie Ladas, Clyde America and Estella Maria.1 -
