Catherine was born in 1832.1   Catherine's father was David Phillips and her mother was Mary Rogers.  Her paternal grandparents were Benjamin Phillips and Charity Herrick. She had two brothers and a sister, named Benjamin S, William B and Mercy.  She was the second youngest of the four children.  She died at the age of 36 in 1868.1
