Benjamin was born in 1783.1   Benjamin's father was Caleb Phillips and his mother was Martha Bishop. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Chad, Josiah, Mercy and Sabrah.  He died at the age of 70 in 1853 in Peru, NY.1
