George Simpson was born on December 12th, 1821 in Caldwell Co, Ky.1 George Simpson's father was Thomas W. Peek and his mother was Francis Marshall. His maternal grandparents were George Marshall and Nancy Unknown. He had five brothers and eight sisters, named John Wilson, James T?F?, Thomas James, Benjamin D., Richard Mentril Johnson, Sarah, Mary Ann, Nancy E., Eleanor J., Frances Caroline, Isabella A., Gabriella and Francis (Fannie) Marion (Mae).
