William Nicol

William was born on May 22nd, 1803 in Hill Of ..., Gillhead, Lanarkshire, Scotland.¹   William's father was Unknown Nicol. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Andrew, James, David, John, Jennett, Isabella, Agnes, Catherine and Jennetta.  He was the fourth oldest of the ten children.  He died at the age of 82 on October 24th, 1885 in Stacyville, Iowa.¹
