George W. was born on May 12th, 1867 in Beaufort Co., SC.1 George W.'s father was Bernard Allen Mulligan and his mother was Marther. His paternal grandparents were Francis Mulligan and Eliza Lavonia Dean. He had three brothers and seven sisters, named William S., Edward Franklin, James Colquitt, Daisy Ann, Minnie, Lelia, Frances, Edna E., Lilly and Liza.
