William Messner 
William was born in 1830.1 William's father was Ludwig Messner and his mother was Catharine Weaver. His paternal grandparents were John Messner and Anna Catharine Mosser. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Daniel David, John, Aaron, Hiram, Sarah Ann, Catharine, Leah, Susannah and Mary. He was the oldest of the ten children.1 -
