Walter James was born on March 21st, 1887.1 Walter James' father was Elias Matthews and his mother was Margaret Ann Simmons. His maternal grandparents were Henry Simmons and Lydia Parsons. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Durnell Elias, Fred Rogers, Charles Henry, Edith and Alvinah Lydia.1 -
