Fred Rogers was born on March 9th, 1893.1 Fred Rogers' father was Elias Matthews and his mother was Margaret Ann Simmons. His maternal grandparents were Henry Simmons and Lydia Parsons. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Walter James, Durnell Elias, Charles Henry, Edith and Alvinah Lydia.1 -
