Edith was born on May 10th, 1889.1 Edith's father was Elias Matthews and her mother was Margaret Ann Simmons. Her maternal grandparents were Henry Simmons and Lydia Parsons. She had four brothers and a sister, named Walter James, Durnell Elias, Fred Rogers, Charles Henry and Alvinah Lydia.1 -
