Thomas Matthews 
Thomas was born on September 19th, 1837.1 Thomas' father was James Matthews and his mother was Elizabeth McFarland. He had three brothers and two sisters, named John, James, Joseph, Mary Ann and Jane. He was the third youngest of the six children.1
