Lafranchine Loretta "Doll" Lewis 
Lafranchine Loretta "Doll" was born on October 2nd, 1892 in Guthrie Center Iowa.1 Lafranchine Loretta "Doll"'s father was John William Lewis and her mother was Columbia Cordelia Tracy. Her paternal grandparents were Johnathan Harry Lewis and Martha E. Bowles; her maternal grandparents were Daniel H. Tracy and Margaret Ann Tumblin. She had four brothers and eight sisters, named Wayne, Howard, Max, Sam "Clifford", Gertrude Beryl, Nellie, Eve, Persis "Margaret", Babe "Gladys", Martha, Pearl and Lewis. She died at the age of 81 on February 28th, 1974 in ST Paul, Minnesota.2 General Notes

William died in 1934, causing great strain on Lafranchine. In 1937, Eva Dell passed away. Lafranchine sold the farm in Pleasant Valley, Iowa, left her children behind and moved to Superior, Wisconsin. She appeared in the 1938 Superior City Directory as a waiter for Mrs. Belle Ballestere, And resided at the rear of 314 1/2 Tower Avenue. There was no listing in the 1939 City Directory, it is believed she moved to Duluth then. She sent for some of her children while in Superior, Marjorie vaguely remembers Superior, but recalls with great detail, Duluth.
When William and Lafranchine were married in 1911, they lived in a tent for a while.
