Mary was born in 1811.1   Mary's father was James Latta and her mother was Nancy Hannah Holloway.  Her paternal grandfather was John Latta; her maternal grandfather was Thomas Holloway. She had four brothers named Anderson, Simpson N., Joseph and James.1
