Martha W. was born in 1843.1   Martha W.'s father was Anderson Latta and her mother was Elizabeth Alston.  Her paternal grandparents were James Latta and Nancy Hannah Holloway; her maternal grandparents were Philip Alston and Sarah. She had three brothers and a sister, named James G., Phillip, Giles A. and Betsy.  She was the second oldest of the five children.1
