James G. Latta

James G. was born in 1840.¹ James G.'s father was Anderson Latta and his mother was Elizabeth Alston. His paternal grandparents were James Latta and Nancy Hannah Holloway; his maternal grandparents were Philip Alston and Sarah. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Phillip, Giles A., Martha W. and Betsy. He was the oldest of the five children.¹
