Ruth was born about 1596 in Little Munden, Hertfordshire, England.1   Ruth's father was John Kirby and her mother was Joan Cranfield. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Francis, John, William, Joan and Ruth.  She was the youngest of the six children.  She died after 1660.1
