Rufus Melvin Kilby 
Rufus Melvin was born on June 22nd, 1899 in Rabun Co., GA.1 Rufus Melvin's father was Adam John Lee Kilby and his mother was Annie Jeanette Stubblefield. His paternal grandparents were Henry A. Kilby and Margarette E. Woods. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Carlton, Marvin Virgil, David Dean, Carlos, Flora and Ora. He died at the age of 74 on April 27th, 1974.1 General Notes
