Ora's father was Adam John Lee Kilby and her mother was Annie Jeanette Stubblefield. Her paternal grandparents were Henry A. Kilby and Margarette E. Woods. She had five brothers and a sister, named Carlton, Rufus Melvin, Marvin Virgil, David Dean, Carlos and Flora.-
