James Kemp

James was born on January 20th, 1849 in Carlton Rode, Bedfordshire, England.¹ James' father was William Buten Kemp and his mother was Elizabeth Bilham. His paternal grandparents were Robert Kemp and Martha Button; his maternal grandparents were John Billham Or (Bilh and Sarah Reynolds. He had six brothers and four sisters, named Samuel Raymond, Heber, Willard Walter John, Arthur, Daniel Robert (Daneal), William, Eliza, Jane, Sarah Ann and Alice Rosemary. He was the fourth oldest of the eleven children. He had four half-brothers and two half-sisters, named William Lockwood, Charles Henry (Harry), Joseph William, Elias Enoch, Isabella and Kate Elizabeth. He died at the age of 75 on August 23rd, 1924 in Lynwood, Los Angeles, California. He was buried on August 28th, 1924 in Crescent, Salt Lake, Utah.¹¹
