William Lewis Kautz 
William Lewis was born on July 27th, 1890 in Farmers, Rowan Co, Ky.1 William Lewis' father was John H. Kautz and his mother was Elizabeth Groszholz. His paternal grandparents were George Kautz and Maria Ann Ethel; his maternal grandparents were Michael Groszholz and Elizabeth Shouse. He had a brother and six sisters, named George John, Mary Elizabeth, Rose Ann, Emma, Dollie Louise, Nellie Clara and Flora. He was the youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 22 on November 22nd, 1912 in Salt Lick, Ky.1 General Notes
