George John Kautz 
George John was born on November 2nd, 1872 in Trout Brook, Sullivan Co, NY.1 George John's father was John H. Kautz and his mother was Elizabeth Groszholz. His paternal grandparents were George Kautz and Maria Ann Ethel; his maternal grandparents were Michael Groszholz and Elizabeth Shouse. He had a brother and six sisters, named William Lewis, Mary Elizabeth, Rose Ann, Emma, Dollie Louise, Nellie Clara and Flora. He was the second oldest of the eight children.
