Cornelius Jones 
Cornelius was born on April 20th, 1724 in Bellingham, Ma.1 Cornelius' father was John Jones and his mother was Abigail Holbrook. His paternal grandparents were John Jones and Sarah Lobdell; his maternal grandparents were Cornelius Holbrook and Experience Unknown. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Hannah, John, David, Abigail and Bridget. He had two half-sisters named Elizabeth and Mary. He died at the age of 79 on April 23rd, 1803 in Whitehall, Washington, NY.1 General Notes

Founded Rowe,Ma. and Church of Christ in Rowe, Ma. Previoulsy a Preacher in Sandisfield,Ma at Conngregatonal Church in 1757.
Purchased 10,000 acres at action in Boston,Ma. 02 Jun 1767 for 380 pounds - named it Myrifield: later renamed to Rowe, Ma. Feb 1779 he sold land in Ma and moved to Whitehall(called Skenesborough) NY.
He fought in Revolutionary War at the time of Burgoyne Invasion. He and son, Daniel involved here. Son, Daniel, killed at the Battle of Stillwater. Battle dates:(1) 19 Sep 1777 - 312 US vs. 500 Engl. at Bemis Heights. (2) 07 oct 1777-,150 US vs. 700 Engl.
