John Jones 
John was born in 1669 in Hull, Ct.1 John's father was Abraham Jones and his mother was Sarah Whitman. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Jones and Ann Unknown; his maternal grandparents were John Whitman and Ruth Unknown. He had six brothers and a sister, named Thomas, Abraham, Joseph, Benjamin, Ephraim, Josiah and Sarah. He died at the age of 84 on March 28th, 1753 in Milford, Ct.1 General Notes

Chosen Ruling Elder for First Church of Mendon 1763 and in 1741 to the same dignity in the Second, or Easterly, Precent Church
John paid Ministerial Tax as early as 1691 - he must therefore have owned land prior to 1691.
He had possession of first land in Dale - in early 1700. He brought the family to dlae in 1703 or 1704
