Joel Hurt 
Joel was born about 1753 in Henry, Virginia.1 Joel's father was John Hurt and his mother was Margaret Hurt. His paternal grandparents were William Hurt and Ann Unknown. He had three brothers and a sister, named John, Moses, Joseph and Tabatha. He was the second oldest of the five children.1 -
